​Starmist Films was born from a shared passion for storytelling and a determination to bring bold, emotionally resonant narratives to life. In early 2024, actress–producer–writer Amanda Jiang and producer–writer Enrico Tessarin joined forces in London, united by a vision: to champion films and web series that pair vivid visual spectacle with deeply human emotion. Drawing on Amanda’s performance background and Enrico’s production expertise, they set out to build a company that would nurture great ideas from their first spark on the page all the way through to their shining moment on screen.

 

From day one, Starmist Films was more than just a production house. Recognizing how many ambitious scripts stall for lack of funding, Amanda and Enrico invested in creating an in-house financing arm—Starmist Capital—to support creators whose visions might otherwise go unseen. By combining creative development and fiscal backing under one roof, Starmist Films ensures that each project receives the resources it needs, while maintaining the artistic integrity that attracted our founders to the medium in the first place.

 

In its first year, our slate has already grown to include award-nominated feature films and acclaimed digital series—testaments to our founders’ belief that powerful storytelling transcends budgetary constraints. From early-stage script workshops to final VFX passes, our team works hand-in-hand with writers, directors, and talent, forging collaborative partnerships that elevate every element of the production.

 

Today, Starmist Films stands at the forefront of UK independent production—an agile company driven equally by creative curiosity and financial acumen. We continue to seek out voices with daring perspectives, offering them a home where artistic ambition and practical support go hand in hand.
