Eligibility & Application Process

Whether you’re an emerging writer/director or an established producer, you can apply directly to Starmist Capital. Submissions require a completed script or detailed treatment, a preliminary budget outline, and a director’s statement. Our team reviews all proposals quarterly and offers feedback on every submission.

 

Timeline & FAQs

• Review Cycle: Quarterly board meetings in March, June, September, and December

• Decision Window: Applicants hear back within six weeks of submission

• Funding Release: Funds are disbursed in tranches, tied to agreed-upon production milestones

Success Stories: Before/After Financing

• “Super Rangers” – 30 minutes drama with twice BAFTA winning Director. Initial concept stalled at script stage; after Starmist funding, closed the financing and shot in February 2025 - Currently in Post Production

• “The Waiting Room” – 15’ drama - Project with TV (Waterloo Road and Inside nr 9) and feature film writer/director Jesse Quinones attached to direct. Project shooting in 2026.
